Our mission

The Academic Drug Discovery Consortium is a professional society dedicated to building the community of academic drug discovery labs and the companies, universities, and government agencies that support and partner with these centers.

ADDC is a nonprofit established in 2012 by five prominent academic drug discovery centers.

Our objectives

• Establish an interactive network of the growing number of academic drug discovery scientists and centers
• Exchange know-how and expertise on drug discovery programs, technologies, faculty engagement, industry partnerships and contractual arrangements
• Create a central repository of drug discovery centers, partnerships, job opportunities and events
• Provide education material on the drug discovery process and on creating an academic drug discovery center
• Provide a platform for partnering and collaboration between consortium members and the life science industry, including pharma, biotech, CROs and other service providers
• Advocate to and advise NIH and other funding agencies
• Establish meetings and programs specific to academic drug discovery
