How to Join ADDC as a Drug Discovery Center

DDC Membership Overview

ADDC offers two types of membership - Individual (regular or student) and Drug Discovery Center (DDC).  DDC memberships are for drug discovery centers who have a collection of individual members that should be linked together, and are managed by one of their members – the "bundle coordinator".

The DDC Bundle Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Managing the DDC listing
  • Paying the annual DDC membership fee
  • Adding new members to the bundle. All bundle members share the same renewal date, status, and membership level.

How to Join as a DDC

  1. First, check to see if you already have a DDC listing here.  If you need to change your Bundle Coordinator, please email us with your request.
  2. If you are already an ADDC individual member and do not have a DDC membership, you may upgrade your membership at any time by logging in to your account, then visiting the Member Profile area.
  3. If you are not currently an ADDC member, you will need to do the following:
    • Create an account (upper right corner of the website)
    • Login to your ADDC account, then visit the Member Application page.  Select Drug Discovery Center, then complete the form and click Confirm to submit .  You'll be sent an email with an invoice for the bundle membership fee, and another with your password. Payment must be received in full before your membership is activated.

Adding members to your DDC bundle

An account administrator can add members to a bundle, but generally, it is the responsibility of the bundle coordinator.  A bundle coordinator can add brand new site members to the bundle, or add existing non-member contacts. They cannot add an existing member – as identified by their email address – to their bundle.  If you need assistance in adding an existing member, please contact us.

  1. Log into the ADDC site
  2. Click your name or the View profile link to jump to your member profile.
  3. Within the Bundle summary section of your Profile page, click the Add member button.
  4. Complete the membership application form on behalf of the person you want to add as a bundle member.  Click Save.
  5. The new bundle member's record now appears. To return to your profile, click the Return to bundle list and your own profile link.

New bundle members can have different join dates but will share a single renewal date.

Editing bundle member information

The bundle coordinator can modify a bundle member's profile from within the bundle coordinator's profile. To modify a bundle member's profile, click the bundle member's name within the Bundle summary section of the bundle coordinator's profile, then click the Edit profile button within the bundle member's profile.

Removing a bundle member

A bundle coordinator can archive a bundle member so that the member is no longer part of the bundle, but still remains part of the site's contact database (though as an inactive contact). Only an account administrator – not a bundle coordinator – can remove a member from a bundle, by assigning the bundle member to a non-bundle membership level.

To archive a bundle member, follow these steps:

  1. Log into the ADDC site.
  2. Click your name or the View profile link to jump to your member profile.
  3. Within the Bundle summary section of your Profile page, click the name of the member you want to archive.
  4. From the member's profile that appears, scroll down to the bottom and click the Archive button.
  5. You can now click the Return to bundle list and your own profile link to return to your member profile.

Changing your bundle coordinator

Only an account administrator can change the bundle coordinator to another bundle member. Please contact us if you need to change your main point of contact.
