Center/Program Highlights:The University of Cyprus Experimental Pharmacology Laboratory is a molecular and behavioural pharmacology laboratory based in the Medical School of the University of Cyprus.
Our research revolves around novel drug discovery and drug repurposing screenings, both in vitro and in vivo. We focus on the exploration of the various effects of drugs on neural pathology (such as pain, cancer and neurodegeneration) and on the associated organism behaviours. We apply this knowledge to discover novel drugs or find new therapeutic applications for existing clinical drugs against chronic diseases. Our lab is housed in a newly-built laboratory facility
at the "Siakolas Educational Centre for Clinical Medicine" building in Nicosia, Cyprus.
